SERAFINA GALLERY
To celebrate the anniversary of the magazine,
we were invited, as well as 17 other image
professionals, to create commemorative
covers of the 2 years of Serafina.
Approach
In the analysis that we have done of all covers already
published we realized that the face is always privileged,
therefore we imagined the Vicente Gil’s face portrait with a
spontaneous, fun and irreverent expressions.
Solution
From a photo in low resolution we manually developed a
drawing mostly composed of typography, because the
envisaged solution needed to be essentially graphic.
We used the font FS Jack, from Font Smith, designed by
our Brazilian friend, Fernando Mello. The result was quite
interesting and the effort involved in its implementation
was well worth.
